Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.
Peter F. Drucker

We all have a collective stake in protecting our planet – and because it’s not enough to simply pay lip service to green issues, High Road is committed to saving tomorrow’s resources, today. We’ve embraced the green challenge and are dedicated to implementing initiatives to reduce our environmental impact. As a result, we’re well on our way to achieving carbon-neutral status by the end of 2008. High Road’s green initiatives include:

  • Participating in a company-wide carbon audit to review (and reduce) energy consumption

  • Implementing comprehensive reduce/reuse/recycle programs in every office

  • Conducting a company-wide paper audit, committing to using completely recycled paper and setting a target to reduce paper usage by at least 30 per cent

  • Promoting a greener approach to commuting – with more than half the High Road staff already using public transportation

  • Purchasing carbon credits to offset a portion of the CO2 emitted during flight travel

  • Implementing a “Green IT Makeover”: Adopting server virtualization technology and upgrading all desktop PCs to Microsoft Windows Vista which helps reduce energy and power consumption by up to 50 per cent
  • Supporting emerging green technology companies through key sponsorships, partnerships and event forums
